YEA, NSA sign MoU to offer financial assistance to youth in elite sporting disciplines

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Sports Authority (NSA) to support Ghanaian youth who are in various elite sporting disciplines across the country.

Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Sammi Awuku who broke the news of the partnership, said the collaboration between the two organisations has the blessing of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

This will enable the two organisations offer financial support to the youth who are in these sporting disciplines to enable them to continue to operate without let or hindrance.

Mr. Awuku said the support will come in handy for the youth in these difficult moments when the country is grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Describing the move as a dream come true, Mr. Awuku averred that the assistance for the youth in the various sporting disciplines will last for six months.

The MoU was signed today, Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Other stakeholders in this partnership include the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) among others.
