Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongman and former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh says a recent tape in circulation in which he was heard making comments to suggest his party was willing to shed blood to win the 2020 election has been doctored.
Speaking on Accra based Neat Fm and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Mr. Yamoah Ponkoh said he is a peaceful man and does not subscribe to acts of violence and war.
In the tape which was widely circulated on social media, the vociferous NDC guru was heard inciting the generality of the Ghanaian people to prepare for a bloody election in 2020.
BestNewsGH.com reports Mr. Yamoah Ponkoh as saying in the said tape that his party, the NDC was prepared to go any length, including shedding blood to win the 2020 elections.
But speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ – Yamoah Ponkoh stated that the circulated audio has been doctored to tarnish his reputation.
He told sit-in host Mac Jerry Osei that “It’s unfortunate, the NPP is desperate for power and doing all they can do to win the next election.”
