The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says it is carrying out investigations into examination irregularities detected during this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates.

It has, therefore, urged school authorities and candidates who have been invited to its offices to assist with investigations into suspected cases of malpractices.

That, it said was to facilitate the speedy resolution of those cases.

“Candidates are informed that their refusal to honour such invitations shall not preclude the council from making a final determination on the cases in question,” a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs of WAEC, Mrs Agnes Teye Cudjoe.
