US Ambassador and GJA President caught doing the ‘elbow greeting’

Barely 48 hours after Ghana’s Vice President introduced the ‘elbow greeting’ as away of preventing the spread of the deadly coronavirus, the United States Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan and the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Dr. Affail Monney have been caught on camera, exchanging greetings using their elbows.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 introduced the new greeting when he used his elbow to touch that of the Chief Executive of the Ghana Chamber of Telecoms, Ing. Ken Ashigbey at the maiden edition of the Mobile Technology for Development (MT4D) Conference in Accra.

Coronavirus which has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) is fast spreading across the world with many states and governments adopting various measures to help contain and curb the spread.

BestNewsGH.com can report that some European countries including Italy and Denmark have imposed lockdowns, regulating the movement of citizens as a measure of curbing the spread.
