Turkey: aged citizens to get free house, free medical care, free hajj travel plus a monthly allowance of 300 dollars for life

Turkish President Tayeb Erdogan announced Saturday November 3, 2018 that all Turkish senior citizens aged 65 or more shall be entitled to free accommodation (a house), free medical insurance, a monthly allowance of 300 dollars and also travel to hajj free of charge.

The package is a well thought-out programme from the government in that country and aimed at ameliorating and alleviating the suffering of the aged and to get them to have well a deserved and decent retirement.

According to the president, the 300 dollars monthly allowance will last for lifetime, an indication that beneficiaries would enjoy it until they pass on.

The announcement was greeted with spontaneous jubilation among the citizenry, particularly in the capital Istanbul.
