The Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Kraku II has been reported dead, according to the Tema Traditional Council.
It is believed the late Tema Mantse passed on late last month, but the traditional council made the formal announcement of his passing, yesterday, Wednesday, February 18, 2020.
The Spokesperson to the Tema Traditional Council, Nii Armah Somponu who briefed the media on the passing of the chief, intimated that a quite and solemn observation of the death of the Tema Mantse was underway.
BestNewsGH.com reports hims as saying ‘’The solemn observation of the passing of the Tema paramount chief and the precautionary measures against the COVID-19, the traditional council has suspended this year’s Tema Kpelejoo festival which was scheduled to start on 27th March 2020 to next year, God willing.’’
He continued that ‘’The public is therefore advised to adhere to the guidelines given by the Tema Traditional Council as preparations to give Nii Tema a befitting burial is underway.’’
