The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has publicly distanced itself from the upcoming 10th Ghana CEO Summit & Expo, stating that it has neither authorised nor entered into any partnership agreement with CEO Network Ghana, also known as Chief Executives Network Ghana.
In a statement issued by its Corporate Affairs Unit, SIGA said it had observed that CEO Network Ghana was presenting the Authority as a “collaborating partner” in promotional materials for the event.
According to SIGA, the representation is “unauthorised, misleading, and does not reflect any existing relationship or agreement” between the two institutions.
The Authority disclosed that it had formally objected to the use of its name and institutional identity and requested the immediate removal of all related references from promotional materials and online platforms. However, SIGA said the request had not been complied with, compelling it to issue a public disclaimer.
SIGA stressed that, in line with the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990), it upholds transparency, institutional integrity, and due process in all partnerships and engagements.
The Authority further clarified that any use of its name or logo in connection with external events requires formal approval backed by a documented agreement, adding that no such agreement exists regarding the 10th Ghana CEO Summit & Expo.
SIGA therefore advised the public, prospective attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors not to interpret the use of its name or logo in any promotional material as an endorsement of or affiliation with the event.
The Authority also urged media houses and broadcasting platforms airing or publishing advertisements related to the summit to refrain from presenting SIGA as a collaborating partner or affiliated institution.
SIGA reaffirmed its commitment to its statutory mandate and to transparent engagements that support Ghana’s economic development agenda.
