A Florida woman with a black belt in martial arts was arrested after breaking her boyfriend’s nose for refusing to have sex with her and then spiting at a paramedic who responded to the scene while claiming she had coronavirus.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun, LaDonald Shakkie Holmes, 38, left her boyfriend bloodied on March 18 after he declined her request for sex on the grounds that she was breaking up with him to reunite with her ex-husband.

Agitated as a result of the rejection, Holmes “roundhouse kicked the victim in the nose and then punched him in the nose,” the report said. “That resulted in the victim’s nose breaking, the victim then started bleeding all over himself and the residence.”

Her boyfriend subsequently left the house and called 911. After telling the deputies what had transpired when they arrived, the officers tried making contact with Holmes, who was still in the house. She was, however, uncooperative. She was later arrested, but as she was being led to the squad car, she fell on the ground several times.

As a precautionary measure, the deputies called Emergency Medical Services (EMS), fearing she “was having a medical episode,” the report stated.

When the paramedics arrived, Holmes became physically aggressive when they tried attending to her, and she had to be sedated as a result. As she was being transferred to the stretcher, she shouted, “I have the Coronavirus” and allegedly went ahead to cough in the face of a paramedic, resulting in “copious amounts of saliva landing on the paramedic’s face.”

She was then taken to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center for evaluation, but court filing did not disclose if her claim of having contracted coronavirus was true, The Smoking Gun further reports.

Holmes is facing charges of domestic battery and battery on a paramedic. She was released from jail on Thursday after posting a $7000 bond.
