We have also told the heads of the schools to make sure the schools which have become inundated with weeds due to the long shutdown are weeded and the place made clean before the children return on October 25”.

Non-Cooperation from Schools

At Buipe in the Central Gonja district, though the team from ZOOMLION was ready to carry out the disinfection exercise some schools were not ready to open their classrooms for the sprayers to work.

Samuel Nyaba Aliah the area manager for ZOOMLION told journalists, “the head-teachers are not cooperating with us as some of them have refused to open their classrooms for us. They have even refused to sign the documents meant for the exercise.
