Renowned son of Okuapeman and prominent politician, Mr. Sammi Awuku has gone to the rescue of traders in the Akuapem North Constituency, following the launch of the Akuapem North Constituency Traders Fund. The launch of the fund is in fulfilment of a major promise Mr. Awuku made to the traders in the Akuapem North Municipality some time ago.
The fund saw contributions from friends, well-wishers and supporters who believe in the course of Mr. Awuku and his determination to ensure the wellbeing of citizens of Okuapeman.
The fund which was launched on Thursday, September 21, 2023, is aimed at providing support to traders in all the towns and villages in the Akuapem North Municipality irrespective of their religious, political or social affiliation or background.
According to Mr. Awuku, the fund will benefit the first Eight Hundred and Thirty-Nine (839) Traders in the Municipality. The objective is to enable the traders expand their businesses.
The affable young, but powerful politician in a brief address, once again expressed his desire to see the prosperity of Okuapeman, adding that he will never hesitate at the least opportunity, to lend his expertise, knowledge, resources and support to the community and the people.
He expressed gratitude to Nananom and religious leaders for gracing the occasion and lending their support to ensure the success of the programme.
‘’My heartfelt gratitude goes to my hardworking Constituency Executives, friends and well-wishers of the Akuapem North Constituency for raising this amount to support out traders’’ Mr. Awuku averred.
He continued that ‘’Together with my constituency executives, we are determined to build a constituency of choice and a prosperous constituency for all’’
