The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr Samuel Awuku together with some Management members of the Authority on Thursday, 28th September 2023 paid a courtesy call on the Okuapehene, HRM Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III.
The visit to the Okuapehene was also to officially inform him and Okuapeman of NLA’s Community Draw slated for Saturday, 30th September 2023 at the forecourt of the Okuapehene’s Palace, at 7:15 PM.
This is the first time in the Sixty (60) years existence of the Authority that a draw is being held by the NLA in Okuapeman.
According to Mr. Awuku, this will also mark the first time in the history of the Authority that its ultra-modern draw machines are being moved out of the Breman Hall of the Fortune House, for a Community Draw.
The move forms part of Management’s agenda of injecting innovation, transparency and public trust in the operations of the National Lottery Authority.
In line with custom, the NLA team presented cartons of drinks, packs of water and made a cash donation to the Akuapem Traditional Council.
The NLA partners with chiefs and traditional councils to hold its community Draws in fulfillment of its Arts and Culture Pillar under its Good Causes Foundation.
