Sammi Awuku donates educational materials to BECE candidates in all Public and Private Schools in Akuapem North

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority and a son of Akuapeman, Mr. Sammi Awuku has brought relief to parents, guardians and pupils in the Akuapem North Municipality.

The kind-hearted public servant and Politician has donated educational materials to all public and private schools in the Municipality to be distributed to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates ahead of their final exams in August this year.

The items include Two Thousand Four Hundred (2400) pieces of Mathematical sets, mock set questions and answer booklets and an undisclosed amount of money.

The cash amount is aimed at supporting the Education Directorate and heads of Junior High Schools in the Akuapem North Municipality to effectively and efficiently run their respective schools.

The project to support the Education Directorate, BECE candidates and Heads of Junior High Schools in the Akuapem North Municipality was initiated last year by Mr. Awuku, who has described education as key to the overall development of Akuapeman.

Speaking to BestNewsGH.com after the donation, Mr. Awuku underscored the importance of equipping the younger generation with the necessary educational acumen to enable them pitch in seamlessly to be able to function effectively as future leaders.

‘’We all know the importance of education and so it is only natural that we endeavour to encourage, motivate and support the younger ones in every way possible to propel them to higher heights in their academic pursuit’’.

According to the hardworking public servant and politician, his main motivation is to see the absolute prosperity of Akuapeman and that such a feat cannot be attained without an educated youth.

He opined that ‘’I’m driven by my quest see the absolute prosperity of Akuapeman and I am of the firm belief that we cannot achieve this without an educated youth. That is why I place premium on the education of the youth, by initiating this yearly support to the BECE candidates and the Junior High Schools. I have also done some work in the Senior High Schools too and I am confident the future is bright for our people.’’

Mr. Awuku extended his best wishes to the candidates and prayed that they will excel and move unto the next stage of their academic careers.

‘’ I wish the candidates all the best in their upcoming Mock and Final exams.’’ He said.
