Highlife legend, Rex Omar has finally showcased his wife, Abiba, the woman who inspired his hit song ‘Abiba’.
Undoubtedly, Abiba is one of the biggest and most successful songs in his career, but Mr. Omar has never made mention of his relationship with the woman whose inspiration drove him into the studio.
The song which was released over a decade ago still remains the favourite of many highlife lovers and continues to be aired by several media houses.

Mr. Rex Omar wrote:
‘’From myself and Abiba my dear wife, we say happy and a prosperous new year to you all my dear friends and family. As we enter the year 2020 which also happens to be an election year, it’s my prayer that we do everything as one people with common destiny, we are one coin with different sides seeking the best for our dear nation, let us do our campaigns clean with NO insults and less rancor, let us be bold to advice our political leadership to stay away from anything that will bring unnecessary tension that can potentially disrupt the peace we’ve been blessed with. This peace we’ve been enjoying must not be taken for granted as it can’t be valued in monetary terms, this peace is all we have. Love you all stay blessed’’
