Revenue leakages at the ports: GPHA DG charges security department to plug all loopholes

The Director General of GPHA, Michael Luguje has charged staff of the Tema Port security department to work assiduously to block all revenue leakages and increase national revenue.

During an engagement with staff of the security department, he reminded personnel that, one major attraction and advantage GPHA has over other ports in the sub-region is its robust security.

“You have done a good job. Within the sub-region, one of our attractions is the security and safety of our ports. That attraction is what we market to draw customers. We are touting our security record,” he said.

He entreated the security operatives to endeavour to give off their best in order that the port will continue to occupy that special position of envy among its peers in the sub-region.

He indicated that Management will do all it can to provide them with the necessary logistics that will enable them deliver on the mandate of ensuring the safety and security of all cargoes arriving in the ports.
