President directs Martin Amidu to inquire into Airbus bribery allegations

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has referred the Airbus bribery scandal to the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

The Special Prosecutor according to a statement issued by the Communications Directorate of the Presidency, is to collaborate with his counterparts in the United Kingdom (UK) for the conduct of a prompt inquiry into the matter.

Signed by Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin and intercepted by BestNewsGH.com, the statement said the inquiry will ‘’determine the complicity or otherwise of any Ghanaian Government official, past or present, involved in the said scandal, and to take the necessary legal action against any such official, as required by Ghanaian law.’’
