All People’s Congress (APC) Founder and Leader, Hassan Ayariga seem to have taken the National Farmers Day Celebration a notch higher.
The APC leader and founder in a strong endorsement of the campaign for the consumption of local rice had a mega local rice party with his family.
In a farmers day message to Ghanaian farmers, Mr. Ayariga who lauded and praised them for their contribution to the economy, also promised them free medical care when he becomes president.
‘’Under the leadership of Dr Hassan Ayariga as President of the Republic of Ghana, Drastic measures will be taken to ensure our gallant farmers receive free health care services for their contributions. We urge Ghanaians on the Occasion of the 2019 National Farmers Day to eat locally produced rice and other foodstuff. Eating what we grow will help in the sustainability of our cedi and reduce unemployment drastically.’’ He wrote on his Facebook wall.
Mr. Ayariga added that ‘’We cannot continue to boast about our vast land and still import rice, maize, onion, tomatoes and corn from Thailand, Vietnam and Burkina-Faso when we can use the same money to engage young unemployed Ghanaians.’’
