A picture of the outgoing Prime Minister of Denmark, Lars Lokke Rasmussen leaving office with only a bag strapped at his back has gone viral on social media and gotten many tongues wagging.
This is because, the move is departure from what pertains in the African continent where such activities are usually characterized by pomp and pageantry and mostly done at the expense of the taxpayer.
In the picture, Mr. Rasmussen after handing over to Queen Margrethe II, just picked his bag and walked out, without any escorts, no sirens, motorcade and no party members or supporters.
What a simple and solemn act that was.
