Obuasi SDA Basic School has once again proven its academic dominance by emerging as Champions of the 3rd Ed ition of the Aseda 92.3 FM Science and Maths Radio Quiz Competition, 2026.
The keenly contested competition, organized by Aseda FM in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (Obuasi Municipality and Obuasi East) and other local stakeholders, brought together over 50 basic schools from across Obuasi to test their prowess in Science, Mathematics, critical thinking, speed and teamwork.
After several thrilling rounds, the brilliant students of Obuasi SDA JHS rose to the occasion, displaying exceptional knowledge, confidence and composure to bring home the coveted trophy.

This latest victory cements Obuasi SDA JHS’s reputation as a powerhouse in academic competitions:

Appreciation to Stakeholders
The management of the school has expressed profound gratitude to the SDA Education Unit for its leadership, guidance, and continued commitment to holistic education rooted in Christian values, discipline, integrity and responsibility.
Special commendation was also given to the management, teachers and coaches of Obuasi SDA JHS whose dedication, sacrifice and rigorous preparation made the victory possible, as well as to the champion students who have made their teachers, parents, the SDA Church and the entire Obuasi community proud.

Call for Support
While celebrating the achievement, the school used the opportunity to appeal to the SDA Education Unit, church leadership, old students, corporate organizations and the general public to support the school with improved infrastructure, furniture, science and mathematics learning materials and educational technology to further enhance teaching and learning.
