NPP Primaries: Chairman Samba grateful for successful vetting
The Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr. Baantima Samba has expressed satisfaction for the manner in which the party’s parliamentary primaries was conducted.
In a statement sighted by BestNewsGH.com, Chairman Do All as he is popularly known, expressed gratitude to all who played diverse roles to ensure the vetting came off successfully.
‘’First and foremost, I will like to thank the members of the vetting committee for tirelessly working towards ensuring an incident free process. I appreciate that midwifing a process like this requires a good dose of energy, discipline and commitment, all of which you gave in service of the party in the region. Secondly, I will like to congratulate and thank all aspirants and their supporters for playing by the rules and directives in relation to the vetting. This contributed to the peaceful atmosphere in which the vetting was conducted and all aspirants coming out confident that they have been treated fairly. If we continue this way, the NPP in the Northern Region will be the ultimate victor of the parliamentary primaries in April.’’ Chairman Samba averred in the statement.
While thanking the media for seeking information and reporting as accurately as possible, Chairman Samba also elicited their support in the ensuing days leading to the election of the party’s parliamentary candidates for the 2020 elections.
He said ‘’Thirdly, I will like to thank our partners in the media for going all out to seek information and reporting as accurately as possible. I continue to anticipate your cooperation as we move into the final stages of electing our candidates in the 9 constituencies we presently hold. Together we can advance the course of internal democracy in our parties, with the NPP always as the pacesetter.’’
He added that ‘’Last but certainly not the least, I will like congratulate constituency executives and the generality of the party for their patience, commitment and diligence in this process. Without you and your support, there will be no NPP in the Northern Region to be proud of.
