NPP National Officers begin sensitization of members ahead of compilation of voter’s register

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has began what can be described as a nationwide tour of the various regions across the country to educate and sensitize its supporters and sympathizers about the impending voter registration exercise to be carried out by the Electoral Commission.

To this end, some national officers of the Party including the National Organiser, Mr. Sammi Awuku and National Vice Chairman Mr. Omari Wadie among others, have already visited the Upper West Region and some of the Regions within the Savannah enclave.

According Mr. Awuku who is also the Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), the team has placed special emphasis on educating the party’s members and supporters on the various provisions of the Constitutional Instrument (CI) 126.

The move according Mr. Awuku is to ensure that the party’s agents and registration officials comply with the law regarding CI 126.

He said the visit to the various regions forms part of a training exercise sanctioned by the leadership of the NPP ahead of the commencement of the compilation of the new voters register by the Electoral Commission from the 30th of June 2020.

Giving the update on his Facebook Page and sighted by BestNewsGH.com, Mr. Awuku opined that “We also used the opportunity to highlight discipline within the party and upcoming party programmes.’’
