NPP mourns Justice Adzakumah; the man who lost his eye during the 2016 LMVC demo

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) yesterday, Saturday July 13 2019 joined family members and other sympathisers to mourn the late Justice Adzakumah, the man who lost one of his eyes during the Let My Vote Count (LMVC) demonstration in the lead up to the 2016 elections.

Led by the National Organiser, Sammi Awuku, the NPP delegation comprised the convener of LMVC, David Asante who is also the Managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company, Volta Regional and Constituency executives of the Party as well as members of LMVC.

Mr. Awuku described the deceased as a man who defied all forms of intimidation and brutalities in 2016 to call for a credible voters register.

‘’Justice defied all forms of intimidation and brutalities in 2016 to call for a credible voters register and  Greater Transparency in our electoral management system. Unfortunately in the process, he lost an eye’’ he said.

Mr. Awuku added that ‘’ He stood for Principles and fought for his country and generation’’.

The funeral was held in the deceased hometown of Tafi Agome in the Afadzato District of the Volta Region.
