NDC 420K filing fee: Joshua Alabi will contest whether or not the figure is reduced-campaign team

The campaign team of one of the presidential candidate aspirants of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Joshua Alabi has indicated in the strongest terms yet, that their candidate will go ahead and pick the presidential nomination form tomorrow Tuesday, December 4 2018.

According to one of the leaders of the Joshua Alabi campaign team, Nii Amasah Namoale, their candidate will go ahead and file his nomination whether or not the 420 thousand Ghana cedis filing fee is reviewed downward or not.

‘’We are not leaving anything to chance and we will ensure that Professor Alabi is not knocked out technically. We will pick the forms and we will file the nomination irrespective of what happens’’ he said.

Nii Amasah Namoale who is a former Member of Parliament and former deputy Minister during the John Evans Atta-Mills era, said the Alabi campaign team lends its unalloyed support to the other candidates who are calling for a downward review of the 420 thousand Ghana cedis.

He added that the tam is also a part of those who are calling on the council of elders and the founder of the party to intervene in the matter and to ensure that a level playing field is created for all the aspirants.

He said they are also calling on the council of elders to get national party officer who have openly voiced their support for one of the aspirants, former president John Dramani Mahama to recuse themselves from the electoral process.
