NDA to construct Astro Turf in Sagnarigu as CEO urges constituents to eschew religious and tribal politics

The Northern Development Authority (NDA) has announced plans to construct a modern state-of-the-art Astro Turf for the people of Sagnarigu in the Northern Region.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Lawyer Sulley Sambian who made the announcement during a visit to the Palace of the Chief of Sagnarigu, further assured of the development of other critical infrastructure in the area.

Lawyer Sambian was at the Chief’s Palace on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the instance of Madam Felicia Tettey, an aspirant in the Parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party for the area, who paid a courtesy call on the Chief to formally inform him of her quest to contest the Party’s parliamentary primaries and to seek his blessings.

In a short speech during the meeting with the Chief and Elders of Sagnarigu, Lawyer Sambian underscored the need for the people of the area to eschew religious and tribal politics and focus on the competence of the candidate.

Madam Felicia Tettey has tried unsuccessfully to lead the Sagnarigu constituency in the past by contesting on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. She is presumed to go unopposed and will be contesting on the ticket of the party once again, in the 2024 elections.
