MTN achieves largest primary share offer in history of GSE

Telecom Giant MTN Ghana has made history by emerging as the company with the largest primary share offer in the history of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).

The Company which officially listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange on the 5th of September 2018 got an impressive One Hundred and Twenty Eight Thousand (128,000) people buying the shares when the offer was opened.

The company has further opened a leeway for interested people who could not buy the shares during the initial offer to be able to do so through licensed stock brokers.

Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana Selorm Adadevoh, speaking at a soiree with the company’s customers in the Eastern Region said ‘’ We have enjoyed a good working relationship with you and we look forward to a brighter future with you all either as customers or shareholders or both. If you missed the opportunity to buy the shares during the initial offer but are still interested, you may buy from a licensed stock broker.

According to him, the company’s listing on the bourse will not change the way the company relates with its customers and shareholders drastically, adding that it will rather improve their working relationship.

‘’We have always been open for suggestions, we have been transparent in our dealings and sincere in our actions. We will continue to be driven by our values of Integrity, Leadership and Innovation and we will continue to explore opportunities to offer you better services’’ he further assured the customers and shareholders.

While thanking the customers and shareholders for the beautiful relationship that exists between them and company as well as their constant feedback to the company, Mr Adadevor assured that the company will continue to churn out innovative products and services, driven by its 4G LTE Mobile network.

The company’s Acting Regional Senior Manager for South-East, Prince Owusu Nyarko in a welcome address said ‘’Customer feedback has been essential to our business. We have been able to evolve, introduce new products and modify existing ones due to the feedback we receive from you especially during informal engagements’’.
