ModernGhana Journalist released, Editor still in detention

National Security late Friday evening released a journalist of ModernGhana, Emmanuel Britwum, after raiding their offices.

However, Starrfm.com.gh can confirm the deputy editor Emmanuel Ajarfor is still in custody at the National Security Headquarters in Accra.

Britwum has since reunited with his family, having been released on bail, sources confirmed to Starrfm.com.gh.

On Thursday, operatives of National Security raided the offices of the online portal following an opinion piece published about the National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah and NPP MP Afenyo-Markin.

Laptops belonging to the online media outfit were also seized in the course of the raid.

ModernGhana has been in operation since 2005.
