Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide has described calls by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Minority in Parliament for President Nana Addo Damkwa Akufo-Addo as a diversionary tactic, from the leaked explosive audio containing the voice of its National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
According to him, the Minority’s call is shameful and that the main reason for such a call is to cover the shame that has engulfed the party as a result of the leaked audio.
He said the Minority per the action cannot be taken serious, arguing that they just decided to blow hot air which will not see the light of day given the fact that the president has done nothing wrong to merit a resignation.
Speaking on Accra based okay Fm, the deputy information Minister opined that government will continue to remain focused on administering the country in the best way possible and that it will not be swayed by deliberate acts to distract it.
‘’This call by the Minority is laughable and cannot be coming from a serious group. They are not serious. What has the president done to warrant that he resigns?. They are doing all that to cover their shame emanating from the leaked explosive audio. They are doing all they can, to equalize but Ghanaians have become discerning and are aware that the NDC have become jokers’’ he said.
