The minority in Parliament has announced that they will summon the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang before parliament to account for abandoned district hospital projects in the Ashanti Region.
According to the ranking member of the health committee of parliament, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the actions of government in abandoning projects that should have been completed in January 2019 may be classified as unlawful. He says the actions do not in any way inure to the benefit of the citizenry.
He says the Health Minister will be summoned before the house to respond to questions as to how and why such a situation exists.
In a related development the chief of Kumawu is calling on the Health Minister to complete a stalled health facility project for the district. He’s pleading with Mr. Agyemang Manu to redeem his pledge of completing the structure within the shortest possible time.
