The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has advised Ghanaians residing in Lebanon to leave the country immediately due to the escalating conflict.

The advisory follows the ongoing air strikes, tank, and artillery exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, which pose serious safety risks.

The ministry, therefore urged Ghanaian nationals to take advantage of the limited flight options available to evacuate the country as soon as possible.

“Towards this end, the Government wishes to encourage Ghanaians living there who may not have travel documents to contact the Embassy of Ghana in Cairo, Egypt or the Ghana Honorary Consulate in Beirut, Lebanon to obtain Emergency Travel Certificates”, the ministry stated.
