Governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) strongman, Mr. Samuel Awuku, popularly known as Sammi Awuku or Capo, has sent a heartfelt message of encouragement and hope to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the party’s presidential primaries, slated for November 4, 2023.
Mr. Awuku who is one of the leaders of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team, is confident that the over Two Thousand (2000) delegates on the day of voting, will favour the vice president, by voting massively for him.
The hardworking former National Organiser of the NPP who is currently the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, is resolute in his conviction that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has duly served the party in honesty, loyalty and diligently with a high sense of commitment and dedication and deserves to be rewarded for such sacrifices.
Mr. Awuku is also praying that the Vice President will receive favour from the spirit of the United Party (UP) tradition and the Founders, Dr J.B Danquah, Simon Diedong Dombo, and Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia, who will remember him for his toils and sacrifices for the Party.
He took to his Facebook Page and wrote ‘’As the countdown begins and the clock ticks ahead of the NPP’s Saturday, November 4th Presidential Primaries, may you be favoured by the NPP Delegates and may the spirit of our tradition and our founders, Dr J.B Danquah, Simon Diedong Dombo, and Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia remember your toils and sacrifices for this party.’’
Announcing his confidence in the imminent victory of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr. Awuku assured the Vice President of his vote and his quest to work at seeing him lead the NPP, saying ‘’When it mattered most you stood up to be counted. You have demonstrated a high sense of integrity and today, you stand on the shoulders of history of being elected as leader of our party.
