Masan Group chairman exits billionaire list

Nguyen Dang Quang, chairman of retail giant Masan Group, has been removed from Forbes’ billionaire list just two weeks after re-entering.

He disappeared from the list on Monday, having been on it since Jan. 3, when Forbes valued his net worth at $1 billion.

He made a comeback to the list this month following his removal in October.

Masan Group’s stock, MSN, has seen a 3% decline since Jan. 3.

Forbes’ list now includes five billionaires from Vietnam.

Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of conglomerate Vingroup, is at the top with $4.5 billion. Vietjet chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao follows with $2.3 billion, and Tran Dinh Long, chairman of steel giant Hoa Phat Group, is at $2.2 billion.

Tran Ba Duong, chairman of Truong Hai Auto Corporation, and his family, along with Techcombank chairman Ho Hung Anh, each hold a net worth of $1.4 billion.
