The suburb of Oforikrom at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has been thrown into a state of mourning following the alleged poisoning of two children to death by their biological father.
Reports have it that the bodies of the children were retrieved from an uncompleted building by Police in the area.
The suspect is said to have informed his neigbours he was traveling with the children to his hometown.
The bodies of the kids were however discovered when not long after the suspect believed to be in his 30s informed neighbours he was traveling with the children, one of the neighbours went to the uncompleted building and raised an alarm.
It is believed that the suspect took the bizarre action after he was abandoned by his wife and mother of the children due to financial constraints.
He is suspected to have laced some biscuits with poison and given to the children to eat, after which they died.
The suspect has been arrested and is assisting the police as investigation commence.
