Late David Adakudugu’s widow replaces him as NDC Parliamentary candidate for Tempane

The widow of the late David Adakudugu, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region has replaced him as the Party’s candidate for the 2020 elections.

Lydia Akanvariba Adakudugu, on Friday February 27, 2020 beat off competition from Cletus Azaabi and one Dr. Anawart to clinch the slot to represent the NDC in the Tempane Constituency.

While she polled 402 votes in the primaries, Cletus Azaabi and Dr. Anawart polled 189 and 39 votes respectively.

David Adakudugu, a former Member of Parliament for the Garu-Tempane Constituency passed on in September 2019 after a short illness.

BestNewsGH.com can report that he had won the NDC Primaries to represent the Party in the 2020 elections, but unfortunately died on September 19, 2019 at the Tamale Teaching Hospital shortly after complaining of some sharp pain in his stomach.

He was said to be traveling from Accra to Tempane when the unfortunate incident took place. He has since been buried.

His widow, will thus face the ruling New Patriotic Party’s candidate for the constituency in the 2020 elections.
