Just in: Martin Amidu invites suspended PPA Boss over corruption allegations

The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has invited the suspended Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Agyenim Boateng Adjei for questioning in relation to corruption allegations against him.

The embattled PPA boss was handed a suspension by president Akufo-Addo following the airing of investigative piece, ‘Contracts for Sale’ by Manasseh Azure Awuni.

The letter of invitation signed by Mr. Amidu directed Mr. Agyenim Boateng Adjei to report to the Acting head of investigations at the Office of the Special Prosecutor by 10am on Thursday 29th August 2019.

This comes on the heels of a similar letter authored by the secretary to the president, Nana Bediatuo Asante directing the Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), to open investigations into the matter.
