Just in: Asamoah Gyan announces retirement from Black Stars-recuses himself from AFCON 2019

Ghana Blackstars Skipper, Asamoah Gyan has recused himself from the AFCON 2019 and has also announced his decision to retire from the National Team, the Black Stars.

The announcement comes days to the release of the 23 man squad for the AFCON 2019.

In a statement issued a while ago and made available to BestNewsGH.com, Mr. Gyan catalogued reasons why he deemed it imperative to retire from the Black Stars team.

This comes on the heels of a seeming rift between him and the head coach of the team, Akwasi Appiah.
