Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) staunch member, Dela Coffie has described former president John Dramani Mahama as a spent force who has consistently dwindled the fortunes of the party in the last two general elections.
He is therefore appealing to the party’s delegates to drop the former president and bring in a new face in the person of Augustus Goosie Tanoh whom he is sure of delivering victory to the party in the 2020 elections.
‘’Available data from the Electoral Commission shows the NDC has over the last two general elections performed below average. 50.7% in 2012 and 44.4% in 2016, with almost one million vote deficit’’ he wrote on his Facebook wall.
He continued ‘’we cannot defend this abysmal showing going forward, and we need a new proposition to prevent another disaster in 2020. Do not defend 44.4%, let’s give the NDC chance to be great again’’,
