I’m more than committed to the development of Akuapeman-Sammi Awuku declares

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr. Sammi Awuku has given the strongest indication yet, that he is fully and unapologetically committed to the development of Okuapeman and its youth.

Mr. Awuku who is a son of the area says he is resolute in his conviction that all the communities in Okuapeman must see some level of development.

‘’As a true son of Okuapeman, I am more than committed to supporting the development of our communities and the youth and strengthening relationships with our institutions and leaders.’’

The hardworking and quintessential NLA Director-General made the declaration on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 when he joined some dignitaries from Okuapeman to cut sod for the construction of an advanced Basketball and Volleyball Court for the Okuapeman Senior High School in the Eastern Region.

Beside the sod-cutting for the Basketball and Volleyball court, Mr. Awuku also undertook an inspection of facilities at the Salem Basic School in Akropong.

The inspection of the facilities at the school was at the behest of its Head Teacher.

Mr. Awuku who announced his visit to Okuapeman and the activities he was engaged in while there via his Facebook Page, wrote;

‘’I was privileged to assist with the sod-cutting of an advanced basketball and volleyball court for the Okuapeman Senior High School on Wednesday. I also honoured the request of the Head teacher of the Salem Basic School in Akropong to inspect facilities at the School.’’

Dignitaries who took part in the exercise include Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III, Omanhene of Mamfe Traditional Council and the Kyidomhene of the Akuapeman Traditional Council, Rev Daniel Afari (Head teacher) as well as some senior officers within the Akuapeman North Municipality.
