Founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah says he is prepared to meet the former National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams even at the party’s headquarters to answer to allegations about plots to assassinate president Akufo-Addo and Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Kofi Adams has petitioned the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to invite the popular preacher for questioning over allegations that some people are planning to assassinate President Akufo-Addo and his vice.
The petition which was submitted at the CID headquarters yesterday, Wednesday, 13 March 2019, read in part that “The Rev. Owusu Bempah, a popular Ghanaian preacher alleged on the OMAN FM on the 28th of February 2019 on its morning show hosted by one Akua Asabea Croppa that certain persons have been contracted to kill the President and Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana. He further said he had personal knowledge of the details of the plot and the persons behind it.”
Kofi Adams as part of building his case against the preacher submitted a copy of the interview to the Police CID to aid in their investigations.
But Rev. Owusu Bempah seems unfazed by the petition against him and said he was prepared to meet Mr. Adams anywhere, even at the NDC Headquarters.
Speaking on Accra based okay Fm Thursday, March 14 2019 and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Rev. Owusu Bempah said he stood by the allegations he made and is ready to substantiate them anytime he is provoked or challenged.
He said he will honour an invitation by the Police CID if he is invited and that he will go any length to ensure that the issue is fully looked into.
