GUPS Executives pay working visit to UCOMS

The International Relations Secretary of the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS) has paid a working visit to the Accra campus of the University College of Management Studies-UCOMS during the first day of their “Akwaaba” week celebration on November 27, 2019.

The program which is on the theme ; “Entrepreneurship, the benefits to the 21st century success ” was graced by many well meaning student leaders including the Coordinating Secretary of GUPS, Mr.Teddy Ampofo, the Women’s Commissioner of GUPS, Miss. Antoinette Owusu-Mensah and the Treasurer of GUPS, Mr. Bashiru Zemmewe as well as the International Relations Secretary, Miss. Abigail Cobbinah Afful who was given the opportunity to deliver a speech.

In her speech to the fresh students of the university, she admonished them to take up entrepreneurial challenges in order to attain success.

She as well encouraged them to be bold and consult the office of their Students Representative Council (SRC) for assistance and clarification when they encounter challenges.

Ms. Conninah added that her office is opened to any student who might need any help in as much as it is within her constitutional mandate.

She also outlined five strategic priority areas including Education, Capacity building, Gender parity, Student welfare and inter and intra culturalism, her office intends to embark on, this academic year.

As the International Relations Secretary to a larger Union, GUPS, she educated the students on what the union is and why they should feel belonged and get involved in anything related to the Union.
