Just in: Gov’t kickstarts community mining programme, invites interested persons to register with MMDA’s

Government has served notice it will soon begin the Community Mining Programme which will see mining concessions reserved across the various mining regions.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, Prof Kwabena Frimpong Boateng announcing the move, invited interested persons to register with the Various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) before or on June 21, 2019.

‘’Such Persons may or may not be part of persons trained in the Sustainable Mining Course at the University of Mines and Technology’’ the statement added.
