Police at Goaso in the Ahafo Region have arrested a 41-year-old man, Kwabena Ofori Agyeman for producing fake Af Confidence Insecticide for sale.
BestNewsGH.com reports that the suspect uses lamda mix with pink colour and water, labels it as Af-Confidence Insecticide, and sells same at Ghc170.00 to Farmers in Goaso, Ayomso, Mim and Sefwi areas.
Mr. Kwasi Boama Adomako, Commercial Director at New Okaff Industries Limited, the company producing Af-Confidence Insecticide for Ghana Cocoa Board told Goaso based Success Fm that numerous complaints from Cocoa Farmers about the efficacy of the product led to investigations and subsequent arrest of the man in Goaso.
The man was arrested with some labels, branded bottles among others.
