Ghana to host African Lotteries Association Conference in December

Ghana through the National Lottery Authority (NLA) will be playing host to the rest of the world and Africa in particular when the African Lotteries Association Conference is held in Accra in December.

The Association will also be celebrating its 60th anniversary and will see dignitaries in the lottery industry from across the globe converging in Ghana’s capital city Accra, for the event.

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, Mr. Sammi Awuku made the disclosure on his Social Media Page after attending the World Lottery Summit in Vancouver, Canada.

The World Lottery Summit attracted a gathering of the crème de la crème in the lottery industry from across the globe encapsulating about 100 countries, to discuss matters pertaining to responsible gaming and good causes.

Mr. Awuku said ‘’It has been an amazing gathering of all the Industry Players from over 100 countries committed to Responsible Gaming and Good Causes at the World Lottery Summit in Vancouver.’’

The hard working Director-General of the NLA also congratulated the President of the World Lottery Association, Rebecca Paul and her team of re-elected executives, patting them on the back for the good job they are doing for the global lottery industry.

‘’Congratulations to President Rebecca Paul and her re-elected executives as they continue to steer the affairs of the World Body for another term. The NLA is grateful that for the first time the World Lottery Association President will be visiting Africa to Grace our 60th Anniversary and the African Lotteries Association Conference in Accra in December.’’ Mr. Awuku averred.
