Ghana Leadership Awards: Kobi Hemaa is TV Personality of the year

Entrepreneur, Media Personality, Public Relations practitioner and Made-in Ghana advocate, Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan Bekoe has been adjudged the 2019 Television Personality at the just ended Ghana Leadership Awards.

Her award was characterized by recommendations from revered and high profile personalities who have followed her consistency in exhibiting high standards and promoting Made-in-Ghana goods.

Cut to recognize and celebrate exemplary and outstanding achievements and leadership of distinguished personalities in Ghana and Africa, this Year’s edition of the Ghana Leadership Awards was under the theme: ‘The Leadership Future of the Ghanaian and the African Youth’.

BestNewsGH.com is informed that Kobi Hemaa’s award was premised on her outstanding and exemplary leadership in the media landscape and her unyielding promotion of the Made-in-Ghana brand consistently over the years.

These, according to the organisers of the awards has culminated in making a significant and positive impact to the development of Ghana over the last decade.

Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe made her debut appearance on television in 2007 where she hosted and produced ‘Ghana’s Pride’, a programmes which focused mainly on showcasing and marketing products of Ghanaian origin, culture as well as addressing challenges related to trade and industry.

Since 2007, she has been at the forefront of churning out television content aimed at promoting Made-in-Ghana mostly through advocacy and production.

She is also noted for consistently adorning African wear including headgears, made-in-Ghana beads, accessories as well as native footwear, known in local parlance as ‘ahenema’

The Ghana Leadership Awards cuts across a broad spectrum of sectors including business, government, academia, philanthropy, media, celebrity, the clergy and social sector players among others. Other awardees at this year’s event included the Auditor General, Mr Daniel Yaw Domelevo, George Andah (MP and Deputy Minister of Communications), Otiko Afisa Djaba (former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister), Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng (Executive Director Of Crime Check Foundation), Dr Mrs Leticia Osafo-Addo (CEO of SAMBA Foods), Dr Akwasi Osei (Former CEO of Mental Health Authority) among others.

Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, who was recently inducted into the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), joins other distinguished leaders including former President Jerry John Rawlings; Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu; Osabarima Kwesi Ata; President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Kweku Oteng who are previous recipients of the Ghana Leadership Awards.

Kobi Hemaa expressed her deep appreciation during an interview with the media shortly after receiving the award, to the various media houses whose owners gave her the leverage and opportunity to showcase her talent, explaining that she was more than ready and poised to support entrepreneurship in Ghana.

She added that her commitment to serving the generality of the Ghanaian people remains unwavering and unshakable.
