The Family of Mrs. Josephine Tandoh Asante, the slain Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) is appealing directly to the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh to help bring justice to the family.

BestNewsGH.com reports the head of the Aflamunam Aboradzi family of Cape Coast, Mr Kofi Atta, as shedding tears and appealing for investigations to be fast tracked so that the matter can be brought to a finality.

Abusuapanyin Kofi Atta made the appeal in an interview with the Chronicle Newspaper and in the possession of BestNewsGH.com, during the 1st Anniversary celebration of the demise Mrs. Asante in Tema.

The entire Maritime industry was thrown into a state of shock and mourning when news of the killing of Mrs. Asante, who was at the time, the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Tema Port broke.

She was allegedly murdered by unknown assailants at her residence at Emefs Hillview Estates near Afienya in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.

The police zoomed in and commenced investigations culminating in the arrest of some persons including the deceased’s house boy, Christian Agyei, her official driver and a security guard at the estates in which she resided.

But the slow paced investigations have stalled for some time now, raising concerns, particularly from the family who have waited patiently for justice all this while.

It will be recalled that during the course of investigations, the police, following some discoveries at the crime scene, conducted a DNA test on the arrested persons, the results of which did not find anything adverse against the suspects.

The docket on the case has since been forwarded to the Attorney-General’s office for advice, while the suspects have been granted bail.
