The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has selected former National Chairman, Peter Mac Manu as its election 2020 Campaign Manager.
General Secretary of the NPP, Mr. John Boadu who made the disclosure on Accra based Peace Fm and monitored by BestNewsGH.com said settling on Mr. Mac Manu was not a difficult task at all, explaining that a winning team must not be changed.
He said Mr. Mac Manu did a fantastic job in 2016 when he led the NPP campaign, culminating in the party’s electoral victory, saying the team he led was very solid.
BestNewsGH.com reports him as positing that the NPP was scheduled to launch its campaign team on May 2, 2020, but had to abadon the idea following the measures instituted because of COVID-19.
Mr. Boadu averred that the NPP Campaign team has commenced work in earnest and that unlike the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), which hasn’t assembled a campaign team yet, the NPP has hit the ground running already.
He said “We are not changing the winning team; Mac Manu will lead our campaign team and when full list is out, it is going to be solid.’’
