Just in: ECG terminates agreement with PDS; assumes full control of power distribution in Ghana

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has terminated its agreement with Power Distribution Services (PDS) with immediate effect.

The company says it has assumed full control of the power distribution business in the country.

A statement issued by ECG a while ago and copied to the media read in part that ‘’ECG has therefore assumed full operational and financial control of the electricity distribution business in the Southern Zone of Ghana with immediate effect’’.

The statement averred further that all activities that were being carried out by PDS have reverted back to ECG.
