Posters of Dr. Thomas Anabah, former Medical Director of the Ridge Hospital, now known as the Accra Regional Hospital have popped up and is going viral on social media.

The poster has the picture of Dr. Anabah who is the Executive Secretary of the African Centre for Health Policy Research and Analysis (ACH-PRA) with an accompanying message which reads: ‘’Vote Dr. Thomas Anabah, Parliamentary candidate for Garu constituency 2020. A call by the youth of Garu’’.

What is also clear is the fact that if the poster are anything to go by and of indeed Dr. Anabah will heed the call of the youth, then it means he will be contesting the seat on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This will mean that he will first of all have to jump the first hurdle, which will be to beat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency Albert Akuka at the party’s primaries.

Dr. Anabah has been at the forefront of championing the development needs of the people of the area through various interventions, particularly in the health and education sectors.

He is seen to be popular among the youth of Garu and surrounding towns and seems to have endeared himself to them.

It is unclear at the moment who those behind the poster are, but one thing is clear, that the current MP has a big ‘fight’ coming if indeed Dr. Anabah is contesting.

More on this developing story soon
