BestNewsGH.com can confirm that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye as the new Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, following the withdrawal of the appointment of Dr. Baffuor Awuah.
Dr. Aboagye who until his appointment was the Director of Family Health at the Ghana Health Service, thus takes over from Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare who has taken up the position of Advisor to the President on Health matters.
Information available to BestNewsGH.com indicate that the official handing over ceremony has been done, paving way for Dr. Aboagye to begin work.
The letter appointing Dr. Aboagye was copied to the Minister for Health, the Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu.
The new Ghana Health Service Director-General seems to enjoy a lot of support within the rank and file of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially Medical teams in the Party.
