Forum to Focus on Positioning Businesses for Sustainable Growth

As businesses face unprecedented volatility, regulatory shifts and growing demands for long-term resilience, the need to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice has never been more critical today.

It is against this backdrop that DORiSA Consult is set to be officially launched as a consultancy firm founded on the principle that rigorous scholarship, combined with practical professional experience, can drive meaningful organisational transformation.

The firm’s debut will coincide with the maiden edition of the *Business Advocacy Forum and Counselling Series, under the theme: *“Positioning Businesses for Sustainable Growth.”**

The forum is designed to be more than a ceremonial event. It seeks to provide an intellectual and practical platform where entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders can examine the structures, strategies and mindsets required for businesses to thrive beyond short-term gains.

Vision Behind DORiSA Consult

At the heart of DORiSA Consult is a vision articulated by its Founder, Dr. Doris Aryee, a Lecturer, Counselling Psychologist, Administrator and Management Expert with more than 20 years of experience spanning the industrial, commercial and academic sectors.

Dr. Doris Aryee is a Chartered Administrator and she specialises in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Strategic Leadership, Operations and Performance Management, Entrepreneurship, Counselling, and Management Consultancy.

She is also an experienced educator and facilitator with expertise in mentoring, coaching and developing individuals and organisations to improve performance, solve problems and achieve sustainable results.

Dr. Doris Aryee holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) and an MBA in International Management, in addition to several professional qualifications in counselling and psychology, leadership and governance, credit management, finance and investment analysis, administration and management consultancy.

She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana, Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana, Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analyst, Ghana, Ghana Psychology Council, Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance, Chartered Institute of Credit Management, and Ghana Academy of Christian Counselors.

The establishment of DORiSA Consult represents the institutionalisation of this vision, with a commitment to contributing meaningfully to business development, strategic thinking and sustainable enterprise growth in Ghana and across the region.

Academic and Professional Community Commends Initiative

The launch has already attracted commendation from members of the academic and professional community.

In a message of support, Dr. Paul Apreku Gyan, a Senior Lecturer at Koforidua Technical University and an Adjunct Lecturer at Pentecost University, described the establishment of DORiSA Consult as a commendable demonstration of Dr. Aryee’s commitment to translating knowledge, expertise and professional experience into practical solutions for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Gyan said:

“The establishment of DORiSA Consult is a commendable demonstration of your commitment to translating knowledge, expertise, and professional experience into practical solutions that can empower businesses and entrepreneurs to achieve sustainable growth.”

He added:

“This is not merely the launch of a consultancy; it represents the institutionalisation of a vision to contribute meaningfully to business development, strategic thinking, and organisational transformation.”

According to Dr. Gyan, the initiative is particularly inspiring because it demonstrates the important connection between academic knowledge and industry practice.

“As a scholar and professional, your achievement is particularly inspiring because it exemplifies the powerful nexus between academic knowledge and industry practice,” he noted.

Bridging Academia and Industry

Dr. Gyan’s remarks underscore a central objective of DORiSA Consult: to serve as a credible platform where evidence informs practice and where practical experience, in turn, contributes to the refinement of theory.

By bringing together research insights and real-world business challenges, the consultancy seeks to equip organisations with the tools required to navigate complexity, build adaptive capacity and create lasting value.

The maiden edition of the monthly Business Advocacy Forum and Counselling Series, together with the official launch of DORiSA Consult, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The virtual event will be hosted on Google Meet via Google Meet link: https://meet.google.com/pvq-bfeq-nkk

The forum will serve as the first public expression of DORiSA Consult’s mandate to promote sustainable business development through expert dialogue, case-based counselling and strategic advocacy.

Through the initiative, DORiSA Consult aims to position businesses not merely to survive but to achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly complex and evolving economic environment.
