CPP sets record with election of regional officers across Ghana

For the first time in the history of the 4th Republican dispensation the Convention People’s Party, CPP has in a record time of 13 continuous days organized 14 regional conferences.

Under two weeks at a nonstop motion, the CPP has conducted elections in all the regions of Ghana except two namely Volta and Greater Accra.

Beginning their journey in the Eastern Region on September 28, 2019, the Acting General Secretary said like the sun rising from the East, the Party was awake and going no more back to sleep until they had interacted with every Ghanaian to be convinced on giving his/her mandate to the CPP to govern again.

The Party regional conferences have also experienced some bold and ambitious pronouncements from the Party’s leadership. They have urged their members to go out in their numbers to vote on December District Level Elections and Referendum. The Party Leadership have tasked their to vote YES for the amendment of Article 55 (3) to allow for the participation of political parties in the election of MMDCEs.

“For the CPP, the election of MMDCEs won’t be enough. We shall move a step further to amend the Constitution 1992 in its entirety to give meaning to sincere decentralization.”

Education has been argued by the CPP to be the key to development emanating from a responsible, responsive and sensitive citizenry. Hence they promise to make Education indeed free and compulsory for all basic students with SHS becoming part of basic as well as state sponsored tertiary education.

On health the CPP promises to review the health policy of Ghana to expand the national health insurance scheme to cover all ailments and medications. They would add a free compulsory annual medical checkup as a component.

To achieve these the CPP promises to run a truly all-inclusive-government which will tap into the talents and potentialities of ALL.

Leading the CPP Leadership is the Acting Chairperson and Leader, Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim. She is aided and assisted by National Organizer, Emmanuel K. Ogborjor, National Women Organizer, Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa, and the Acting National Youth Organizer, Basiru Nabila Alhassan under the command of the Acting General Secretary, James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr aka General Kabila.

The CPP is poised for constant sustained engagement with the populace and promises to lead Ghana better than what Ghanaians have experienced in the 26 years of return to civilian rule from 1993 January 7.
