COVID-19: ICGC cancels Greater Works 2020

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) will not be holding the 2020 edition of the biggest event in its calendar, Greater Works.

A statement issued by the General Overseer of the church, Dr. Mensa Otabil announcing the decision and in the possession of BestNewsGH.com cited the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country as the key reason.

Dr. Otabil averred in the statement that the decision to cancel Greater Works 2020 is in the interest of the generality of the church’ congregation, adding that attention will shift to the church’ season of fasting and consecration.

The statement read in part that “We will now focus on our season of fasting and consecration, 40 Days of Power which comes off from Thursday June 25 to Monday August 3. More than ever before, there is the need to wait upon the Lord, stand in the gap for nations and also to receive strength and direction for the times ahead.”
